Derya Koruk Art Studio

Derya KORUK
Born in 1973 in Ankara. Until 2006, she took short courses on various traditional Turkish decorative arts, especially souvenir copperware decoration. In 2007, when she started to study illumination art at Memnune Birkan Illumination Workshop, she started to take the Turkish Ornamental Arts Illumination and graduated successfully. As a Social Responsibility Project, she focused on illumination studies with Nilgün Alp at Atölye HİÇ, which was opened in Ankara as a Social Responsibility Project, and simultaneously started taking classes on Tile Art at Ayşe Özkan Workshop. Between 2013-2017, she worked as a master instructor in Ankara Keçiören Municipality KEÇMEK VOCATIONAL EDUCATION Training Programs and trained hundreds of students. Since August 2017 until today, she has been working with Sabriye Şeker at the Istanbul Classical Arts Center in Istanbul on illumination and on Basic Art Education with Savaş Çevik. On the other hand, since September 2017, she has been working with Hülya Korkmaz on scientific plant painting.
