Our 4 Faculty Members Included in the Top 2% of the World Ranked Among the Most Influential Scientists

4 scientists from Biruni University made our University and our country proud by being in the top 2% of the world's scientist list, prepared by Stanford University. 

 
The list of the world's most influential scientists, which Stanford University carries out every year, has been announced. In the study conducted from Stanford University, 190.063 scientists were evaluated by looking at their publications in 2020. The list was published by Elsevier, a publishing company known for scientific publications. In the statement made by Stanford University, in the creation of the lists; Criteria such as the number of patents, the number of citations, the h-index, the hm-index, the number of articles, the number of cited articles, the number of qualified publications and the effect of the journals in which the publications are included were taken into account. Scientists were divided into 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields. Field- and sub-field-specific percentages were determined for all scientists who had published at least 5 articles.

According to the Elsevier Citation Metrics prepared by Stanford University, our faculty members  Prof. Dr. Kemal Sarica, Prof. Dr. Özgür Koray Şahingöz, Prof. Dr. Ege Can Şerefoğlu and Prof. Dr.  Mehmet Şenel had been selected among the top 2% and the most influential scientists in the world.
