Professor Değim, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, was Habertürk Tv’s Guest

    Our dean of faculty of pharmacy was on Haberturk Tv’s Airport programme. He gave important information on “Airborne and Space Pharmacy” to the presenter Güntay Şimşek.

    I cannot think of a life without planes

    The program started with the commemoration on our first airborne martyr died in 1942 who was Prof İsmail Tuncer Değim’s uncle. His passion started after he was given his deceased uncle’s watch.  “I made planes out of brooms at primary school. Now I can attach a motor to a regular wood and make a plane to flight flawlessly,” says Prof. Değim.

    I rest while enjoying my planes

    He has a fleet consisting a total of 15 model airplanes, helicopter and drones. Our dean of faculty of pharmacy continues, “I work hard on weekdays and rest during weekends flying my model planes” and he adds, “Life pulls you where your heart beats”.

     

    Pioneering works in Turkey and at World

    Our dean of faculty of pharmacy, stated that they were the first in this field while he answered the question why space pharmacy considering there were already many pharmacy related fields such as forensic pharmacy, sports pharmacy etc.. “There will be an enormous need in this field and we are making drug formulations” stated Prof. Değim and concluded, “All the world is focused on space related researches.  We have space agency now. We have to study space pharmacy and contribute in this field in both our country and the world”.
